Viola Valli Honored By The International Marathon Swimming Hall Of Fame
This recognition is fully deserved.
Viola, of whom I was a teammate at SNAM in the 90s, was not the most gifted and did not have the best technique. Her superpower was the impetus with which she faced every single training session. 10x400 is not the most loved set by swimmers, but doing it challenging Viola was a real Hell. A pain in the neck. Because of this attitude she was motivating for all of us.
Viola's amazing career was the just reward for her inner strength and being included in the IMS Hall of Fame is a natural consequence.
